Apple Watch Ultra 3 And Watch SE 3 Models Are Coming But Not This Year: Know More
Apple launched a new colour of the Watch Ultra 2 at the iPhone 16 launch event but no sign of the next-gen Watch SE model that will also come next year.
Apple Watch Series 10 was announced at the iPhone 16 event this week but we didn’t see the new Watch Ultra 3 or the rumoured Watch SE 3 models. Instead, Apple introduced a new black edition of the Watch Ultra 2 that is just a new colour coating on the same product. But renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the new Watch Ultra and SE models have not been shelved and they will launch but not this year.

The analyst in a post on X claims Apple never had plans to launch these Watch models this year, and we will see the upgraded variants of the Watch Ultra and Watch SE in 2025. The post doesn’t give us a clear timeline on their availability but going by Apple’s scheduling for these products, we can expect the Watch Ultra 3 and Watch SE 3 to launch around this time but in 2025.
Does this mean these new models will be lining up alongside the iPhone 17 series next year in September? Quite possible. The Watch Ultra 2 is still quite a strong product and only notable upgrades would have helped it get demand in the market. However, the Watch SE 2 has been around for a while now, since 2022 to be precise and it is high time that Apple offers a successor in the SE series for the consumers packed in with more features.
For now, Apple will be busy with shipping the latest iPhone 16 series models and the Watch Series 10 across the world. The sale of these new products starts from September 20 which is less than 10 days away from now. The new iPhone 16 models will be getting the highly anticipated AI features through an iOS 18.1 update which should happen in October for select regions.
