Hera Pheri 3: Did Paresh Rawal Just Drop MAJOR Hint About Film's Release Date With Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty?

Remember the good ol’ days when a landline phone, a shady don, and a man yelling “Utha le re deva!" were enough to send us into fits of laughter Hera Pheri, the iconic comedy that gave us three legends—Raju, Shyam, and of course, Babu Bhaiya, is finally returning for Hera Pheri 3.

On Tuesday, while casually hanging out on X (formerly Twitter), Paresh Rawal—aka the man, the myth, the moustache—decided to drop a major hint about the film’s release date. He had shared the re-release trailer of Andaz Apna Apna. Replying to the post, a fan told him, “We are waiting for Babu Bhai Mr. Teza."

To this, Rawal replied, “Soon soon ! Before the next monsoon !"

Hera Pheri 3 will be helmed by the OG comedy king Priyadarshan, reuniting him with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Rawal. In fact, a few days ago, the first scene of the film with the original cast was shot today. The film has official gone on floors. A source close to the production pf the film confirmed the news to Hindustan Times, saying, “Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot today with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles."

After facing several setbacks, Hera Pheri 3 is now moving forward. On Priyadarshan’s birthday, Akshay Kumar confirmed his role as director. Originally, Fahad Samji was set to direct, with Feroz Nadiadwala producing, but legal and production hurdles delayed the film. It is now back on track.

Opening up on his plans, Priyadarshan said, “I plan to start work, start writing Hera Pheri 3 sometime next year. It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations. People are waiting to see Akshay, Paresh and Suniel again and we always say that it is easy to make people cry, it is easy to scare people but to make them laugh is very difficult and that too without using double entendre dialogues ..you have to make humour so pure and identifiable. Then, humor also changes, and the taste of the society changes. We have to catch up with that. Characters have gotten older and accordingly people should believe…these are important things. I am taking it as a challenge. Let’s see how it works."
